This tasty entrée is perhaps the simplest recipe I’ve posted. Janell – this one’s for you! It’s from Instagram food blogger britscookin and and if it takes you more than 5 minutes to prep it I’d be surprised. I’m going to write it up just as Brit did. Great with pasta and a salad. No need for the recipe after you’ve made it once.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Add 4 chicken breasts to a baking dish. Season chicken with garlic and herb blend, salt and pepper to taste. Pour 24 oz. of your favorite marinara over the chicken. (I used tomato basil.) Add a handful of shredded mozzarella on top of each chicken breast. Bake for 30 minutes or until 165 degrees.
Tip- If your chicken breasts are thick, pound them a bit or bake longer. I might add a bit of pesto next time to the chicken before the marinara, and sprinkle some Parmesan on top; but delicious as is.
